Yes! We buy, sell, and trade used firearms at many of our locations. Our used gun program is designed to provide a fair, safe, and transparent way for you to upgrade your gear or find a great deal on a pre-owned firearm.

How it Works

Buying: You can browse our current inventory of used firearms at participating retail locations.

Selling/Trading: Bring your unloaded firearm to a participating store for a professional appraisal. We offer both cash and store credit (trade-in) options.

Before heading to the store, ensure your un-holstered firearm is unloaded and stored in a case for the safety of our customers and staff. Upon arrival, please visit Customer Service at the front of the store.

How to Sell or Trade Your Firearm

The entire used gun transaction takes place at the in-store Gun Counter. Here's what to expect:

Step 1 — Assessment

Bring the firearm you'd like to sell or trade to the Gun Counter. A team member will review it and walk you through your available options.

Step 2 — Choose Your Payout

Select from three payout options:

Step 3 — Upgrade

Choose your new or pre-owned firearm, complete the required paperwork, and enjoy your upgrade.

Finding a Store That Buys Used Guns

Not every Sportsman's Warehouse location participates in the used gun buy/sell program. Customers can enter their zip code on the Used Guns page to find a participating store nearby.

Firearm Service Plan

Any used firearm purchased through Sportsman's Warehouse is eligible for our Firearm Service Plan. Note: this plan is not available in all areas.
